Noah Bannister is a game developer and graphics programmer currently based in the Midwest. He received his MS in computer graphics technology from Purdue University in Fall of 2019 with a thesis on HMD ocular ergonomics.

Noah honed his development skill working at a university simulation and visualization research lab from 2014 to 2022, creating training applications, scientific apparatuses, games, and more. This work gave him experience developing for a range of platforms: mobile, VR, PC/Mac, WebGL, and even CAVE systems. The majority of this work was done in Unity.

In 2022, Noah accepted the opportunity to work for Clique Games, optimizing and porting desktop VR games to standalone headsets. This work lead to a game developer role on the Rogue Ascent team.

Some of Noah’s interests include: music, cooking, 3D modeling & printing, astronomy, math, physics, game dev, programming,  circuitry, animation & mo-cap, psychology, ethics, and mythology. He is fascinated by the monomyth, what it has to say about us, and what it means for some of those big meaning-of-life type questions.

The goal of this blog is to bring a bit of knowledge in these areas to you. It will include solutions to some common problems when using certain tech; showcase some projects; and link to cool papers, books, and videos.
